Today I had the chance to get a tasting of Abuelo’s new dishes. This is my first time here so I didn’t know what to expect, however the covered patio (the different shades of pink and plants ) and dance-worthy music in the background won me over already!
I started off first with El Jefe, a margarita made with ultra premium Maestro Dobel Diamante Tequila, Agavero Orange Liqeur, fresh citrus, and topped with a grilled orange. The process to make the infused tequila is quite interesting. They use a Yama cold coffee brewer (brews for over 8 hours) to achieve the infused orange tequila taste. While I am personally not a margarita, or basically anything tequila. This was extremely smooth!
For entrees, I decided to get a sample of each – which ironically came out to this HUGE platter of food.

Noms! After a long tiring week, this was such a great way to unwind and welcome Fall with open arms! And also, a great way to get warm when the temperature drops! The Fajita Chile Relleno definitely had a kick to them ( p.s, make sure to try the green chile that comes with the tortilla chips!).
