Masraff’s is just…delicious! You know it’s good when you’re only half-way through your appetizers but feel like you’ve already reached the end of your dining experience. Their menu changes seasonally so it’s always a new adventure each time here! For example, they may serve Herb Roasted Lamb, but with a modified side or something that is in season, for best quality ingredients. They offer a variety of dishes from seafood to beef to pasta!
Their interior is dark and intimate, while their outdoor patio has plenty of natural sunlight. With the trickling water from the fountain wall and the sun setting, you ALMOST forget you’re in the city.
First we started off with the complimentary basket of bread.
Next, we move on to appetizers which included the Garlic Seared Calamari, Baked Stuff James River Oysters, and the Quail wrapped with Bacon. Clearly, we really enjoyed the calamari!
No sauce left behind, the bread tasted wonderful drenched in it!
Garlic Seared Calamari // oyster mushroom, shaved onion, cilantro, soy reduction
Trio Sampler // including Baked Stuffed James River Oysters -Leeks and Smoked Bacon – Spinach and Crab – Shrimp and Mozzarella
One of my favorites go-to’s is the Lamb, however I had the luxury of trying the Pan Roasted Peking Duck Breast, and oh my gosh! If there was such thing as Love at first bite, this is it! What a game-changer!
Pan Roasted Peking Duck Breast // Sweet Potato Flan with Goat Cheese and Walnuts, Seared Foie Gras, White Wine Glass Apples, Cherry Compote
Pan Roasted Alaskan Halibut // crab and charred onions infused yukon gold potatoes, vegetable ratatouille, lemon chive beurre blanc
Herb Roasted Australian Rack of Lamb // mediterranean farro rice with roasted mushrooms, pickled garlic and mint demi glaze
Warm Butterscotch Bread Pudding // Butterscotch Sauce and Vanilla Bean Ice Cream
Warm Double Chocolate Fondant // vanilla bean ice cream and creme anglaise
Voila! And just like that, that was one of the best meals I’ve ever had. Hats off to the Chef!
